ACTIVATING THE PHONE TRACKER APP

Please watch the short video above to easily configure our Android phone tracking app. A couple of important points:

  • make sure you have downloaded the app to the phone that you wish to track
  • in the video enter your own ‘Device Identifier’ number which you can get from us

Some models of Android device shut down apps that are running in the background, meaning when your phone’s screen is off, the android system of the phone will turn off the app. If you are experiencing this please let us know and we can see if this can be remedied via a few setting changes on the phone. If you have any questions during activation please contact us. 

LOCATION UPDATE INTERVAL

The location update interval means how often (in seconds) the phone tracker app will send its current location to the platform. The default is every 300 seconds (5 minutes), however you can change this depending on your company’s requirements. The location update setting can be as often as every 30 seconds up to 600 seconds.

SCHEDULED ON/OFF OF APP

Our phone tracking app has an advanced feature allowing you to set the on and off times for the app as well as what days of the week the app will be active. This is useful so that your employees don’t have to manually turn on and off the app as they may forget.
